We began our session at Verve Coffee Roasters in DTLA. Brian + Caresse being the incredible humans they are offered to buy my coffee. Maybe not the best beverage of choice, I decided on Cold Brew.. As most of you may know, cold brew is the most caffeinated beverage on any coffee shop’s menu.
As I quickly downed my cold brew between shots (highly caffeinated) running around the Verve patio and sliding all across the ground, it was fantastic. These two were nothing short of amazing with little to no directing, they had plenty of creative ideas themselves!
Now, before we head into our location transition I have to warn you. Their loft located in the heart of DTLA is fantastic, literally a dream. I gotta tell ya guys, I nerded out real hard when I stepped into this magnificent space! Also, be sure to head over to Brian’s new home decor Etsy site The Retro Room for more minimalistic/boho inspiration!
Like I said, such a beautiful loft. So jealous of these two and their home. It was so easy to keep a consistent flow, there was inspiration in every corner + nook.
Their bulldog’s name was Bruno and he was jealous that he wasn’t getting any photos taken. I couldn’t help but snag this shot, such an awesome little guy! Sessions with animals > sessions without animals ANYDAY!
For our last & final location change, we headed up to one of my favorite destinations within Los Angeles. It changed my mind about the city forever, and I’m so glad we were able to make it happen. After climbing up a sketchy fire escape, and getting an alternative perspective of Downtown, it was beautiful in a sense. A bit quieter, a bit brighter, almost an escape from the hustle and bustle down below on the streets. Anyways, enjoy the rest of the set!
Such an enjoyable session! Thanks to Brian + Caresse for allowing me to take these beautiful photos of them, their animals, and their beautiful home. And thanks to Verve for not allowing us to shoot inside their shop, but a little corner outside on their patio! Thank you so much for stopping to check out the blog, if you’re interested in your own session please head over to my Contact page and we’ll get that set up for you!
